The damage inspection process on the was completed Sunday, revealing four structures were destroyed and three were damaged.

Of the four structures that were destroyed, two were single-family residences and two were utility or miscellaneous structures.

The three that received minor damage included two single-family residences and one miscellaneous structure.

In total, 22 structures were inspected on the Woodside incident in Sonoma County. Thanks to the sustained efforts by firefighters, numerous structures were successfully saved during the fire (including the one pictured here).

We have been notified that Hwy 1 is officially open as of 9:38pm on 8/1.

Please respect there are emergency vehicles still in the area, drive cautiously. Allow for extra time as there may be one lane traffic set up to allow for crews to continue to work safely. Thank you.

The Woodside fire is approximately 30% containment keeping the fire West of Hwy 1. All South Coast Fire apparatus and crews are back in district.

Sonoma County Sheriff has now lifted evacuations “Evacuation Order and Warning Lifted for Salt Point Area, Including Zones 1D1 and 1D2, Due to Woodside Fire

The Evacuation Order and Warning has been lifted for the following areas:

ZONE 1D1 – Salt Point State Park and Timber Cove
• North of Fort Ross Road
• South of Kruse Ranch Road and Hauser Bridge Road
• East of the coastline
• West of the south fork of the Gualala River

Zone 1D2 – Northwest of Cazadero
• North of Fort Ross Road
• South and West of King Ridge Road
• East of the south fork of the Gualala River

The following roads will remain closed due to down trees and fire crews still working in the area:

• Highway 1 at Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Road
• Highway 1 at Timber Cove Road
• Kruse Ranch Road at Seaview Road

Residents in this area may return home. Please use caution when returning and be aware that fire personnel and emergency crews may continue working in the area.

If you have camping reservations for a California State Park or a Sonoma Couty Regional Park in the area, please check if they are open before arriving.”

There is short range spotting with multiple spot fires, aircraft are working on protecting Hwy 1 with retardant and CHP has been requested for a closure of Hwy 1 - per radio traffic.
An additional 2 type 1 helicopters (4 total), 5 engines, 5 water tenders and 4 hand crews have been requested.
