The risk environment surrounding professional athletes is not ordinary. Their protection strategy should not be ordinary either.
Fortified Castle has developed an ongoing case study of residential burglaries, attempted burglaries, and home invasions involving professional athletes. The objective is not simply to count incidents, but to identify the exposure patterns, offender behaviors, and vulnerability windows that directly inform the protective strategies we implement for our clients and their families.
The data shows a sharp increase in documented incidents during 2025, with repeated connections to public travel schedules, predictable absences, visible wealth, portable assets, and coordinated offender behavior. While the 2026 count is currently lower, it is too early to declare the trend in sustained decline.
This graphic is a working snapshot through July 2026.
Athletes operate within a compounding exposure environment in which digital visibility, residential attribution, travel patterns, public schedules, and operational routines can combine to elevate risk. Our clients are protected through an integrated mitigation framework designed to identify and reduce those interconnected exposures; whether they are at home, traveling, or living in the public eye.
