The Guthrie Police Department , Fire Department along with 63rd CST-MWD are training in the 900 of E .Prairie Grove.

We will have multiple Emergency Vehicles in the area.

Green Shift responded to South Capitol for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved car fire in close proximity to a structure. The team acted quickly and performed an effective fire attack, achieving a rapid knockdown and preventing extension. Following the incident, Green Shift promptly returned to service and was available to respond to an ambulance call. There were no injuries reported at the scene.

Green Shift responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 33. One patient had to be extricated from the vehicle. All patients were stable. Excellent work by Green Shift, Guthrie Police Department, and dispatch!

Guthrie Fire & EMS would like to congratulate Firefighter Ben Cunningham on successfully earning his paramedic license! Over the past year, Cunningham completed an extensive program with the School of EMS at the Guthrie Fire Department and has recently passed his national exam. GFD is proud to have dedicated professionals like Paramedic Cunningham who go above and beyond to better serve the citizens of our community. Congratulations, Paramedic Cunningham!

Please join us in congratulating Drew Hymer on his promotion to Captain. Captain Hymer has been with the Guthrie Fire Department since 2008 and has been a significant asset throughout his career.

In addition to his leadership and experience, Captain Hymer is currently enrolled in Paramedic School and is set to graduate later this year. Among his many accomplishments, Captain Hymer is also a member of the Oklahoma Smoke Divers, graduated from class 2, and is OSD 51.

We are proud to have Captain Hymer represent our department with professionalism, pride, and integrity. Congratulations on your well-deserved promotion, Captain Hymer!

Today, before the inclement weather arrived, we had the opportunity to celebrate the retirement of Captain Reihs. Captain Reihs has proudly served this department and our community for 25 years. In addition to his career as a first responder, he also dedicated many years of his life to serving our country in the military.

Captain Reihs and his wife, Creedy, call Guthrie home, where they raised their two sons—both graduates of Guthrie Public Schools. We wish Captain Reihs nothing but the best in his well-earned retirement and many enjoyable moments ahead with his family.
