Where legacy and land run deep.

Along the eastern edge of Wyomingโ€™s Rocky Mountains, Wagonhound Land & Livestock carries a legacy shaped by the rugged country it calls home. More than 300,000 acres of Laramie Range country have been stewarded through generations, where the lessons of the past continue to guide the work of today.

That same philosophy lives in the Wagonhound remuda. Under the direction of Dustin Ewing, the Horse Division has built a program around versatile, athletic Quarter Horses with the intelligence and grit to work for a living. From the lasting influence of WR THIS CATS SMART to the next generation being carried forward by FIDDLE AND STEEL, Wagonhoundโ€™s horses represent a commitment to proven bloodlines and a useful horse above all else.

Recognized as the 2018 AQHA Best of the Remuda and a 2025 NRCHA $2 Million Dollar Breeder, Wagonhoundโ€™s story is one of building for the future without losing sight of where it began. The land may change with the times, but the principles remain the same: good horses, good cattle, and a responsibility to leave the country better for the generations that follow.

Among the rolling hills of the West Texas Plains, Tongue River Ranch carries on a legacy rooted in tradition, horsemanship and the land. Established in 1898 by Eric and Albin Swenson, the ranch was named for its location along the Tongue (South Pease) River. The ranch was purchased by Millard Morris in 1997, who strived to keep the old west, historical feel of the ranch. Today, the Dumont, Texas, ranch, spans 89,000 acres and continues to preserve the historic spirit of the American West while embracing advancements in cattle and equine genetics.

The Tongue River horse program is built around raising versatile horses capable of going from the show pen to the rodeo arena and a full day of ranch work. Since earning the AQHA Best of Remuda in 2011, Tongue River Ranch Quarter Horses have continued to make their mark, with horses earning top honors in ranch rodeos, ranch horse competitions, the PRCA and the NFR.

The legacy of Tongue Riverโ€™s bloodlines can be seen across the industry. From PEPCID and his accomplished offspring to stallions such as SOUTH WICHITA, TRR BIG IRON and CR TUFF BE GREYT, Tongue River horses and their descendants have earned championships and top-horse honors across some of the industryโ€™s most prestigious events.

At Tongue River Ranch, preserving the past while advancing the future is a way of life. Through generations of cowboying, proven bloodlines and a commitment to the land, the ranch continues to build a legacy for generations to come.
