This aids in root growth going into the winter and helps produce a more vibrant lawn. Fall fertilizer also helps build root growth and assists with reducing winter kill. With May around the corner and rain over the last several days, now is a good time to get spring clean ups on perennials completed if they weren’t done in the fall and start to plan any seeding that needs to be completed from the winter. Make sure you do NOT cut your grass too short, this time of year.

3.25 inches is what we cut our grass at yesterday.

Still some wet spots out there.
