DEVELOPMENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FOR THE PEDIATRIC PATIENT: A FOCUS ON AUTISM
September 21, 2021
Virtual Conference
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in March 2018, parent-reported information from the 2016 National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) showed that one of six U.S. children aged 2 to 8 years had a diagnosed mental, behavioral or developmental disorder. About one in 59 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. Postponed from the original April 2020 date, conference presenters will include relevant comments on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic within their topic.
Each lecture will include evidence-based treatments, support management and resource suggestions, with the goal of providing attendees the most current best practices and practical tips for caring for patients with autism spectrum disorder.
