A Day in the Life of a Fire Alarm Technician:

"Tech arrived on-site to troubleshoot FACP issues. The panel was found with 2 Troubles, a low battery, and Input 4 Open.

It was found that the batteries had been physically removed from the panel and left in a bucket on the ground. In that bucket were numerous conductive pipes creating a major shorting hazard. Luckily, neither of the batteries shorted. The jumper for the batteries was also removed and left on the concrete floor. Tech inspected, tested, and reinstalled the batteries and jumper, which cleared the trouble."
