After 5 years of learning sales and management at Xerox Corporation, Tim Palkovitz began his career at HPG in June 1990. Tim can vividly remember how very excited his father, Steve, was to have him join Hagerstown Paint and Glass…a part of the Palkovitz Family’s lives since Steve first started there in 1958. Tim’s next five years were spent learning the business. Construction was a completely different world than that of sales in corporate America. Tim had to learn the ropes of estimating and project management before Steve allowed him to be involved in management. Tim became Vice President from 1996 to 2001 then assumed the role of President, a position he continues to hold.

In addition to his professional commitments, Tim also found time to give back to the community by serving as the President of The Hagerstown Rotary Club. Tim’s mark was left by starting the Annual Bull and Oyster Roast fundraiser. Tim has also been the Chairman and a Board Member of the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown Advisory Board.

Outside of work, Tim finds joy in spending quality time with his family. Together with his wife, Terri, they have built a loving home in Hagerstown, where they raised their two daughters, Bethany and Madeline. Tim's true happiness lies in the cherished moments he shares with his friends and family.

Overall, Tim's journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to both his professional endeavors and personal relationships. Tim is a well-rounded individual who values kindness, community service, and family. By far, Tim’s greatest joy comes from seeing people grow and flourish.
