Behind Gypsy Soul Catering is an incredible story of perseverance, passion, family, and faith. Chef Maria's journey began in Romania, where she learned to cook alongside her family using fresh, natural ingredients and scratch-made recipes. After immigrating to the United States as a child, she continued developing her love for food, blending influences from her Romanian heritage with the Pennsylvania-Dutch traditions she learned from the Mennonite family who helped sponsor her family's immigration.

Today, Gypsy Soul Catering is known for creating fresh, flavorful meals made from scratch and served with heart. Since launching her business in 2017, Maria has built a reputation for excellence through private chef services, cooking classes, and catering, all while balancing life as a wife and mother of seven.

A Valedictorian graduate of the Culinary Arts Program at James Rumsey Technical Institute, National Technical Honor Society inductee, ServSafe Manager Certified professional, and proud member of the United States Personal Chef Association, Maria brings both talent and passion to every meal she serves.
