Thank you to all our first responders! You kept us safe when it was too close for comfort! We are surrounded by heroes!

BCSO Ohio Fire Update: As of this evening, July 21, 2026, the Ohio Fire is now 100% contained, per the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC).

We are deeply grateful to all the first responders and local, state, and federal partners on this fire.

Now that we can refocus from life-critical events, the Blaine County Sheriff’s will be putting out a full statement as soon as possible. Please allow us time to work through our investigations and legal process. We appreciate your patience.

Be safe neighbors! This is so scary! We pray for you!

The Slaughter House Evacuation Zone, east of Bellevue, Idaho (see map), has been put on Level 2 SET EVACUATION STATUS. This means that you should be set to evacuate at a moment’s notice. There is high fire danger in your area. MAKE IMMEDIATE PREPARATIONS FOR EVACUATION of family members, belongings, and/or animals. Residents are urged to gather important documents, medications, and essential personal effects so that they will be able to immediately leave should conditions deteriorate. Be aware that power and gas may be discontinued to your area during this time.
If a Mandatory Evacuation order is issued in your area, you will be notified. If you are in danger, DO NOT WAIT for an evacuation order. Take the initiative to leave immediately.
