The POWER documentary on Netflix about the police was DEEPLY triggering but I needed that history, those resources. WE HAVE TO ABOLISH THE POLICE.
PERIOD.
We have hidden behind a need for social control in our reason to allow these REGULAR PEOPLE to MILITARIZE against our communities and murder and terrorize us.
We have allowed domestic terrorism into our communities because this country refuses to provide, WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS, the resources we need to prevent crime, create jobs, housing FOR US in our neighborhoods, adequate food, etc.
This is the worst con of all time that we live in a democracy with no real options but a false and ever-demeaning bipartisan government, con artists, rapists, murderers, and UNEDUCATED deviants in our government to tell us how to keep a moral code as tax-paying citizens. We are paying this government to kill us.
Is this how America is going to continue or are we ACTUALLY prepared to do something?
Thank you to the students, community members, and higher education staff for fighting for a FREE PALESTINE, you also fight for black communities in the United States ALSO terrorized by the same colonial and violent criminals.
Police across the United States have grants, scholarships, etc. to travel to Isr*al and learn their militarized police methods INCLUDING surveillance, brutality, and cop cities where they currently have a "fake city" they practice their tactics in to better learn to brutalize and terrorize Palestinians. The same thing they are trying to build in ATLANTA, GEORGIA.
I get that my black people may not all be educated, able to discern info, be critical thinkers, or deeply look into the information that seems above them, but guys.....we are in dire straights right now.
The link between SEVERELY INCREASED, VOLATILE, AND MURDEROUS police in our minoritized communities is DIRECTLY linked to how we respond to funding murder overseas by our police's violent teachers.
This is a wild time to think we can continue "minding our business".....this is sooooooooooo deeply our business and I am so sad you all don't know how badly we are in danger.
This country is funding the genocide that they are NO DOUBT learning to bestow upon us.
This is very bad and I need us to START MOVING. Myself included.
I am frozen in fatigue at being black in this country and worldwide. I am angry my humanity needs to be FOUGHT FOR. I am soul-achingly traumatized by the history I hold in my DNA of brutalized cruelty, barbaric cruelty, demonic cruelty.... cruelty that even your conspiracy theories have no idea about unless you are educated enough to look.
But we gotta move. This country IS at its crossroads. This cannot continue. It CANNOT continue.
All I know is I am doing my best to figure out how my black life SHOULD look and how to move it there and I will NEVER stop being loud and completely honest about it in every room I am in.
This is Bullsh*t, but we gotta demand better. This is EXHAUSTING but the current regression of sanity in white power in this moment is a danger to us who know historically what that brings. The violence on your phones and TVs is proof that we need to get moving sooner rather than later.
WE gotta move. Now.
I will do my best but there is so much that I know that no black person should know and I mine through that because I must. Everyone that made it through these things to get me here is owed a debt by my being and fighting and living. AS do all of those that got us here. If you only KNEW why you being here, black, is a godd*amn miracle.
