Here’s a look back at the Hammond Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Open House presented by Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Fire Chief Bernie Grisolia this past Saturday! 🤩🚒

Families and community members enjoyed free food, music, activities, live demonstrations, and more while getting an up-close look at the equipment and connecting with our Hammond firefighters and community partners.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success! We appreciate everyone who took part in a fun-filled day of learning about fire safety and the important work our firefighters do to keep our community safe! 👏🔥

Thank you, Hammond, for another successful Fire Prevention Open House! 🚒❤️

Our crew had a great time welcoming families and residents to Hammond Central Station earlier today! From fire safety demonstrations and station tours to meeting our firefighters and exploring the equipment we use every day, we enjoyed sharing what we do with the community we proudly serve. We hope you enjoyed the food, music, activities, giveaways, raffles, and all the fun!

Fire Chief Bernie Grisolia, the Hammond Fire Department, and Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., thank our dedicated firefighters, staff, volunteers, and everyone who came out to spend the afternoon with us!
