Hampden-Sydney College Activities Committee (CAC) Life of the Party. The organizing and advertising of the events is an integral part of the job.

The College Activities Council (CAC) is in charge of orchestrating several large and small entertainment events for the student body throughout the academic year. Sma

ller functions, which are held on a weekly basis, include: poker tournaments, movie nights, billiards tournaments, ping pong tournaments, videogame tournaments and small concerts in the Tiger Inn. Major productions, such as Homecoming and Greek Week concerts, are organized completely by the members of the CAC from the choosing of the band, drawing of contracts and the actual production of the concert. The CAC also sponsors several other events including the faculty run game night and the Black Tie Ball. The CAC receives the largest portion of the Student Activities Fee for the student body's entertainment.

Greek Week is finally here! ANYONE with a student ID enters FREE, from ANY school. If no student ID, then a charge of $10 will be administered.

4:30 PM- Major and the Monbacks will be playing in the center of Fraternity Circle. Behind Sigma Chi, Kappa Sig, and MIC house.

7:30- Doors open at Kirby Field house
8:00- Cozz opens up (30 min set)
8:35- Bas (30 min set)
9:20- The Revivalists (75 min set)

The first 100 students that arrive to Kirby will receive a FREE Greek Week T-shirt. See ya'll out there!

HOMECOMING CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT

Here it is. The moment you've all been waiting for...

Who’s playing:

Leftover Salmon and Robert Randolph & The Family Band

Where: Lagoon Field

Rain location will be at Kirby Field House

When: Friday, October 23

Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8

Robert Randolph & The Family Band will be the first set from 8pm - 9pm

Leftover Salmon will follow from 9:30pm - 10:30pm

Tickets: Tickets will cost just $5 in advance, and $10 at the door

Tickets will be sold (starting TODAY):

In the commons during lunch hours (11:30-1:30)

In the bookstore

Online web address coming soon

At the door of the show

GET THEM WHILE THEY’RE HOT

Accommodations:

Beer (for those who are 21), refreshments, and other confessions will be sold

Band merchandise will be sold

Greek Week is almost upon us. As everyone rests up their mind and body for the exciting week ahead, we'd like to remind you of Thursday night's concert.

8:00pm - Set Time: Start Making Sense (Talking Heads Cover Band)

10:00pm - Set Time: Atlas Road Crew

The stage will be in the opening between Sigma Chi and the MIC house. There will be no beer garden, no tickets, and no specific entrance. The concert is BYOB if you are 21. There will be Hampden-Sydney Police and other alcohol enforcement monitoring the crowd, just as they normally do on Friday and Saturday of Greek Week.

Make sure you have a great holiday weekend and we will see you on Thursday!

Dear all students and technology savvy alumni/faculty,

Hampden-Sydney's College Activities Committee now has a Snapchat! This account will be utilized by all CAC members in order to keep students up to date on all activities going on around campus. We hope this will be as entertaining as it is informative.

To add CAC's snapchat, click "Add Friends" and then "Add by Username." Search hsc-cac and click the + button.

If you would like to be efficient and fancy, just open the camera in the app and focus it on this picture. Snapchat should automatically add hsc-cac as your friend.

Please note that due to the "friend" aspect of snapchat, members of the CAC using the snapchat will be able to see your stories as well. If you are not comfortable with this, you can adjust your settings so that whomever using the hsc-cac account will not be able to see your stories.
