After a decade-long strategic equity partnership with Quincy Mutual, Dowd Agencies has repurchased the company’s minority ownership interest, returning the agency to 100% ownership by the Dowd and Griffin families. 🤝

Founded in 1898, Dowd Agencies is the oldest insurance agency in Massachusetts operating under continuous family ownership and management, now spanning five generations. This latest milestone reflects the agency’s continued commitment to independence, long-term growth, and the clients and communities it has served for more than 125 years.
