I just got back from my first trip to detect in England for 2026
I had a great time with friends, the weather was pretty nice, I had a great time. But lots of work detecting 12 hrs everyday rain or shine.
I didn't do the greatest but average and I am happy with it. The group i was in got three golds one coin , gold pendant, and gold ring.
Mornings were cool around 35 but days were in low 60s.
One day I dug like 4 targes in a row that were about 14 inches deep like the broken part of a bronze axe. And the pendant with the cross on it.

Wow what a great time, there were targets everywhere big and small. The community was so helpful and friendly. I personally had a great time and cannot think of anything you need to change you need to change except maybe get a better load speaker under the roof we could not hear or see anything.

Finds from 3/22/25. Was a short 2 hr hunt in a field I have detected good stuff in before. I was using the Garrett Vortex VX9. I only made 4 passes in the field besides these finds I had a couple pieces of iron and like 10 pieces of aluminum. Field was not wet at all yesterday and was a fun hunt thevonly coin detected was a 1898 Indian that was laying right on top of ground. 3 marbles were eyeball finds. Lots of glass.
