What happens when you finish school and realize that school didn’t really prepare you for the real world?

In a conversation with the Founder of SheEO about why we are organizing SheEO 2026 and the idea behind Bridges of Impact, Rise by SheEO, and a Retreat to the Gambia. She shared her own experience of leaving school with good grades but still feeling lost. She didn’t know how to write a CV, apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, or even know where to find the right opportunities.

And honestly, a lot of young people can relate to this. Sometimes, we do so well in school, but nobody teaches us what comes next.

That is why Bridges of Impact is important. We want to help young people get the knowledge, exposure, connections, and opportunities they need to navigate life beyond the school environment.

Because getting a degree is one thing. Knowing what to do with it is another.

Watch the full conversation on the SheEO YouTube channel to hear more about the story and the vision behind SheEO 2026.

And if you’re a young person looking to learn, connect, and access new opportunities, register for Bridges of Impact 2026.

What does it really mean for women to feel safe enough to be vulnerable?

In this conversation with the founder of SHE-EO, we explored the importance of creating safe spaces where women can openly share their experiences, fears, challenges, and stories without feeling judged or like they always have to prove themselves.

Sometimes, people don’t stay silent because they don’t want to share. They stay silent because the environment doesn’t feel safe enough.

From academia to the workplace and our communities, the pressure to always be strong, perfect, and capable can make people feel unwelcome, disposable, or afraid to make mistakes.

That’s why spaces like SHE-EO matter.

Spaces where women can be vulnerable.
Spaces where women can connect.
Spaces where women can feel seen, heard, and supported.

As we look forward to SHE-EO Africa 2026, the conversation continues.
