Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the beautiful Weeks family Andrea Goodman Weeks and SML Signs & More for ten years of employment, friendship, and growth in my life and career! Today was my last day of work there, but the memories and relationships I’ve gained and built over the past 10 years will last a lifetime. It has been a pleasure working for and with them and my coworkers over the years, and I will always cherish the relationships I’ve built with all of our wonderful customers, who I now consider mostly friends and like family. I am beyond excited to be starting soon at Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays in Charlotte, NC. I am a super thankful and really blessed man. God sure is good. Let the next chapter begin!!

TO OUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS,

We wanted to take a moment and let you all know that we will be undergoing some significant changes very soon. Our longstanding employee, Taylor Gile, has taken a position at a commercial sign and display company in Charlotte, NC. He will be starting the beginning of October, but is leaving us on wonderful terms and he is doing his best to help us transition to him being gone. It is bittersweet to see him go, but we are very happy for this next phase of his life and career and wish him nothing but the best. With him being gone, however, that is going to leave us some big shoes to fill. As many of you know, he has been the “face” of the company and our lead designer and office manager for more than 10 years now. We are asking that you all please be patient with us during this transitional phase as we will be restructuring and looking to hire some new employees to help keep us on track. We will still continue to offer the same great services and products as we always have, but our workload is very demanding at this time and we are going to do our best to keep up with all of the requests and ongoing projects while serving our community with pride and integrity. His last day here will be this Friday, so if you wanted to drop him a line or stop by, please plan on doing so before the end of the week. We thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to continuing to serve you in all of your sign, graphics and marketing needs in the days and years ahead.

Our team is looking for a friendly, fast-thinking, graphic designer/office manager with experience designing vehicle wraps and signs. Not only do you love creating eye-catching large format designs, but you have an engineering mind--you like solving puzzles and understanding how things are put together.
It excites you to think there is an unknown project that might pop up today -- a chance to let your creative, fast-thinking shine. You are cool under pressure, because you’re an organized list-maker, and appreciate deadlines. You have great phone conversation skills and enjoy working with clients one-on-one. You’re an accurate speller and are good at math (our layouts require meticulous measurement and thinking about proportions and placement of graphics on buildings, vehicles, and more).
If this describes you AND you have a friendly personality, positive attitude and impressive work ethic, read on. In a typical day you would:

• Design multiple projects either from scratch or by revising layouts from prior projects.
• Answer phone calls and reply to emails ensuring customers are valued and prioritized.
• Generate both high-production simple sign layouts, as well as more thoughtful, eye-catching vehicle wraps and interior murals and branding displays.
• Communicate with walk-in clients, provide estimates, design projects, help run our equipment
• office duties as assigned

What you need to land this job:
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), spelling and math skills.
• Have a neat and professional appearance, business casual attire is required.
• Experience working with clients and managing multiple projects.
• Experience designing signs and/or vehicle wraps.
• High Level Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Previous sign or print industry experience preferred but not required
• Previous service business experience desired
• Interest in learning multiple skills and be able to lift at least 35 pounds. .
• Must enjoy (and thrive) working in a fast-paced, multitasking, deadline-oriented dynamic environment, including the ability to maintain high energy under pressure
• Must be Punctual and Flexible
Education:
• High School Graduate (required)
• Associate (preferred)
Experience:
• Vehicle wrap graphic design: 1 year (preferred)
• wide format or sign design: 1 year (preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop: 1-2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
• Driver's License (Required)
Compensation:
• Hourly wage commensurate with experience with room for growth (starting at $12-18/hour)
• 6 Paid Holidays Annually
• 40 Hours of Vacation Time & 40 Hours of Sick/PTO Time Yearly For Full-Time Employees
• Potential Bonuses For Meeting Weekly Sales Quotas & High Production Deadlines

Work Location: In person Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (NO WEEKENDS)
