Pulled these two off the longarm and trimmed while checking on Inky this morning. The little brat recognizes the medicine syringe now and can lead me a merry chase. So I sat at the sewing machine and pieced another fish block. His curiosity got the best of him and he showed up to investigate. I got him on my lap, snatched up the syringe, and squirted his meds down his throat. He took off, much aggrieved, but by the time I had finished sewing the block he was back for cuddles.

He is not thrilled with the new wet food.

I ordered a second fountain, this one is stainless steel. And some packets of bisque to doctor up his food. And a new laser light toy. Spoiled little kitty??? Not much. LOL

Two more quilting finishes. I was able to load both onto the same wide back fabric.

It's been way too long since I posted here. I've been sewing and doing some edge to edge quilting and finally got up the nerve to see if I can still do custom quilting.

Started with a small wallhanging. The bright t-shirt quilt is for the Ref. I've also quilted a QOV beautifully pieced by Jolene. I pieced and quilted a memory quilt from the shirts of a deaf friend of the Ref's. And in between I made some more project bags and Hemingway bags.

I'm not quilting for the public these days but I plan to quilt for me and some friends. I got a bit sidetracked with knee replacement that was slow to recover and then when I was getting back to normal I had a major heart episode....had to be shocked back into rhythm SIX times! Ambulance ride, helicopter ride, heartbeat and temporary pacemaker on the weekend and then another ICD on Monday. And the discovery that I'm diabetic.

Slowly getting that under control. Some doctors seem to think it might just go away on it's own but I'm taking the meds the hospital sent home and checking my blood glucose daily. I see an endocrinologist in 2 weeks.

I've been able to do some sewing. The ICD implant had me on left arm restrictions for 4 weeks. That's up on Monday and first thing I want to do is load up the Prince. I plan to quilt a big swath of fabric and construct some Hemingwaybags and project bags.

I'll wait a few more weeks before attempting free motion custom quilting as my incision site remains painful.

I've been piecing church blocks and took a break to make little 9 patches from charm squares. Planning to post a tutorial here.1

My heart is overflowing with gratitude. On Monday I will deliver 71 beautiful pillowcases thanks to the Lake Marion Piecemakers and the Angel Oak Stitchery sewists. Lake Marion also donated a large amount of toiletries, wash cloths, and towels plus $. The sewists also gave $ in addition to their time and talents. I shopped with the $ this afternoon and purchased socks, toboggan hats for children, more bath towels, baby wipes, and diapers.

I will take my car full of goodies to Goose Creek on Monday to add to what Cobblestone is doing and it will all travel on truck to western NC.
