Tammie Yevonnia Anderson

Tammie Yevonnia Anderson, 66, of Niota, Tennessee, passed away on October 12, 2026.

Born on January 22, 1960, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Tammie was the daughter of Charlene Anderson and the late Houston Anderson. She spent many years serving others through her work at Woods Presbyterian Nursing Home and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church.

Tammie enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially shopping and listening to classical music. Throughout her life, she demonstrated remarkable determination and courage. She defied the odds and accomplished things that others told her would be impossible. Tammie never allowed barriers to define her. Instead, she faced life with strength, perseverance, and a spirit that inspired those who knew her. She lived her life refusing to recognize limitations, proving time and again that faith, determination, and a strong will could overcome obstacles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Houston Anderson; her nephew, Travis Anderson; her cousin Emily Elizabeth Monroe; her cousin Roy Lee Anderson Jr. and her niece, Amber Anderson. Uncles, Kenneth Anderson, Roy Lee Anderson, Olen Anderson, Jerry Anderson, and Jack Knox.

She is survived by her mother, Charlene Anderson; her brother, Nick Anderson and wife Sharon; her brother, Scott Anderson and wife Tina; her sister, Alisha Wiggins and husband Rick; her nephew, Brock Anderson and Haley; her nephew, Cody Wiggins and wife Brittany;...

Edith Lones Osborne, 82, went home to Heaven on October 11, 2026. She was born in Sweetwater on August 5, 1944 to Elizabeth and Walter Lones. Edith loved to travel, taking cruises to the Bahamas where she came back with beads in her hair. Edith kept those beads. Edith’s daughter took Edith off on a road trip to Maine, just the two of them. As much as Edith loved to go, her home was the gathering place for the holidays and family get- to-gethers. She cooked, she was an avid quilter and loved her family. Edith was also a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Englewood.
In addition to her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Osborne, her daughters, Anna Ark and Tammy Shackleford, her son Billy Ark, sisters Wanda Scott and Mary Scott, brothers Jimmy Lones and Charles Lones and two grandsons William Ark and John Bingham.
Edith leaves behind a large family that loved her dearly. Daughter, Anita Loveday, Her son Joe (Faye) Ark, her grandchildren Johnathan Bingham, Stephanie (James) Wagner, Tasha Scott, Josh Ark, Myranda (Blake) Walden and Makayla (William McFarland) Linger; her great-grandchildren Stephen Scott, Isabella Akens, Chloe and Alyssa Bingham, Caitlyn (Trevor) Howell, Sierra and Ava Cook, Tim (Ally) Ark, John Walden; her great-great-grandchildren Paisley, Tallon and Layklyn Howell.

Lillie Nicholson, 95, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2026. She was born in Sweetwater on May 30, 1931 to Lillie and Carl Hicks. “Tootsie” as she was known by family and friends, loved to garden and grow beautiful roses. Her late husband and her loved to watch the hummingbirds that would come in their yard to the feeders. She loved her family with great passion, especially her grandchildren. Tootsie was a member of Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church in Vonore.
In addition to her parents, Tootsie is preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Nicholson, two brothers, Bud and Raymond, as well as her sister, Carrie.
She is survived by her sons, Danny (Kay) Nicholson, Steve (Brenda) Nicholson; her sisters, Betty (Huebert) Allen, Patsy Houston; brother-in-law LH Nichols; grandchildren Matt (Jennie) Nicholson, Dusty (DeAnna) Nicholson, Katie (Michael) Mcpherson, Michael Woods and April Miller. Also left to cherish her memory are 8 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 in the cemetery of Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church in Vonore at noon. Pastor Gerald Atkins will be officiating.

Estalene Bell Jenkins, age 83, of Tellico Plains, went home to be with Jesus, surrounded by her family, on Monday October 12, 2026. She was of the Holiness faith. She loved sewing and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Bud” and Laura Annis Kirkland Bell; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola Bell, Charstie and Jalmer O’Dell, and Eva Gay and Howard Riddick; Clara E. Bell, her brothers and sisters-in-law, M. L. “Ham” and Connie Bell, and Jackie Bell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Grace Carmley Jenkins; and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Moser Jenkins.

She is survived by her loving husband, Benny Jenkins, of Tellico Plains; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Danny Stricklan, of Madisonville; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Donna Jenkins, of Sweetwater; and her grandchildren, Hunter Stricklan, Shekinah Stricklan, and Hannah Jenkins. She also leaves behind her special fur baby, “Bam Bam,”.

Additional survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah Ann Bell, Euna Vee and Kenneth Powers, all of Tellico Plains, Mary and Joe Mincey, and Donna and Dennis Perry, all of Sweetwater; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Bell, of Tellico Plains, and Frankie and Connie Bell, of Madisonville; and her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bell, of Tellico Plains, Frances Jenkins, of Vonore, Faye Tallent and Jewell McLfresh, of Madisonville, Charlotte Watson, of Vonore, and Revonda Jenkins, of Tellico...

William “Bill” G. Lassiter age 72 of Harriman passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026. He worked and managed the Emory Golf Course for many years. Bill was a salesman who sold cars most of his life. An avid Harley Rider, deer hunter, fisherman who loved to play golf and spend time outdoors. Preceded in death by his daughter Paula Lassiter.

Survivors include:
Sons Douglas, Kenny and Josh Lassiter,
Stepdaughter Mary Darlene Daniels,
