Representing brands effectively in the community takes more than informational flyers and pamphlets β€” it takes memorable experiences that engage audiences and foster emotional connections. Color & Culture specializes in developing exactly that, from pop-ups and brand activations to workshops to full-on community events.

Even at a tabling event, we put on our experiential marketing hat to create simple activities that still engage audiences in a fun way β€” like our 500-Calorie Snack Challenge, where people work with our brand ambassadors to build their own snack mix and learn what 500 calories of nutritious food looks like.

Let our team help you create your next meaningful engagement in the community.

We're keeping the team love going, and this week, we're putting the spotlight on Beth Shanabrough. Beth has been part of the crew since 2013 and has worn many hats during her tenure. Call her office manager, media buyer, project coordinator, billing clerk β€” she has done it all. But no matter what she takes on, you can be confident in this: She cares about our clients and doing things the right way. We try not to email her on weekends because we know she'll jump on the task even when it can wait!

Speaking of the many hats Beth wears, we can add happy-maker to the list. She loves laughter and hates seeing people sad or having a bad day, so she's always looking to put a smile on people's faces and make them feel better, even if for a few seconds.

Beth loves being a grandma, cheering her grandkids on in all the 1,000 sports they're involved in. What you may not know about Beth when you meet her is that she loves metal. No, we're not talking about the lustrous material. She's a metalhead whose top favorite bands include Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Korn, and Pantera!

We're grateful for all the work you do, Beth. You rock! (pun intended πŸ˜‰)

We're excited to welcome two new members to the Color & Culture team β€” Katie Crane as Public Health Program Associate and Cynthia Knight as Accounting Associate!

Katie holds a B.S. in Journalism and Organizational Communication and brings hands-on program and development experience from her time at the Alzheimer's Association and Respect Together. She's passionate about public health advocacy and, as a writer, believes in the power of storytelling to connect with our communities. Katie is exactly what our public health team was looking for.

Cynthia holds degrees in Psychology and Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Colby Sawyer College and Arizona State University, and brings 10 years of accounting and HR experience to the team. An avid traveler who has explored many corners of the country, she has a natural love for connecting with people and learning about different cultures.

We're so glad to have you both!

Happy Mother's Day! πŸ’

At Color & Culture, we're proud to celebrate the love, strength, and beauty of moms everywhere. Today, we honor the women on our team and all that they bring each day β€” at work, at home, and in the lives of those around them.

We could talk about our team all day β€” and we will! They're good people who truly care about their work and the why behind it. Today, we're highlighting three recent members whose contributions to Color & Culture have earned them well-deserved promotions last month.

Sarah Shearer has been with us for just over a year, but it feels more like ten (doesn't it, Sarah? 😊). She's been instrumental in bringing order and efficiency to a fast-growing agency. Sarah steps into her new role as VP Finance & Operations.

Michelle Connett-Bergstein has been with us since the early days of Latino Connection and was part of the core team that helped shape the Color & Culture brand from the ground up. She now takes on the title of Associate Director of Brand Partnerships & Strategy.

Modesto Araujo joined us a couple of years ago as a brand ambassador, representing our clients in the field. But his give-me-anything-and-I'll-always-deliver attitude made it clear he was meant for more. He's now stepping into the role of Jr. Project Manager for our community outreach work.

But before we close this out, we want to also call out the amazing team members who have received promotions in Fall 2025 β€” Ashleigh Aviles to Associate Director of Events and Client Services, Yohanny Moncion to Sr. Account Executive, Nico Polanco to Account Executive, and Yndira Mesa to Field Operations Manager.

Congratulations to all of you! We're lucky to have you on the team.

is here! And what better day to share how proud we are of the work we’re doing with PA Outdoor Corps, a program run by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources that's doing exactly the kind of work National Arbor Day was made to celebrate β€” taking care of our state's parks and forests that are essential to our survival, our health, and our sense of wonder for the natural world around us.

Our goal is to help PA Outdoor Corps become a household name, so that everyone knows who is behind maintaining the natural resources enjoyed by all, and how they, too, can get involved to keep them thriving and accessible to everyone. PA Outdoor Corps’ programs are focused on training young people, ages 15 to 25, with the goal of building the next generation of conservation leaders. How cool is that?

We loved seeing PA Outdoor Corps in the field training their crews, and the conversations we had with these folks were absolutely inspiring. (Did you know you should be sharpening your shovels?!) They genuinely care about their work and the impact it has β€” not only on our state, but on the entire world, since we're all connected.

This week, from April 11-17, we recognize National Black Maternal Health Week.

Racial disparities are profound and urgent. For instance, Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, such as variation in the quality of healthcare and underlying chronic conditions rooted in systemic and structural inequities.

In this article, our team reflects on the Maternal Health Summit we hosted in 2025, where community members, health experts, and families came together to build understanding and discuss how to address the disparities black women and many birthing people are experiencing.

To achieve peak performance, top-tier professionals ensure their tools are in optimal condition. There are certain members of our team who you might not see or hear, but are committed to ensuring the company has quality resources and tools. That's why this month, we spotlight Cesar Fernandez, our Fleet Manager. He maintains our vehicles, from minivans to large-scale RV units, ensuring they are road-ready, safe, and compliant.

Cesar has been with us for over 10 years, helping the team to drive change through various community health initiatives. He enjoyed being part of Highmark Wholecare’s Outreach Series, working on many events to engage and educate underserved communities across Pennsylvania on wellness and healthy life choices.

You cannot separate Cesar and fun! He consistently fosters a cheerful work environment with big smiles and laughs. Outside the office, he loves the beach, is always ready for the dance floor, and enjoys the gym to stay in shape and enjoy all the food he desires!

We highly value Cesar's dedication to maintaining the efficiency our partners expect, and of course, all the smiles and laughs he brings!
