I’ve got to give props to my longest-running client, Hillary. Tomorrow marks 14 years since we started this journey together.
Truthfully, I probably wouldn’t be established where I am today without her.
Early in my career, I found success with the UFC, traveling all over the world and building something outside the community I grew up in. But deep down, I always wanted to create real change back home. At the same time, I carried this belief that people where I’m from just wouldn’t change.
Hillary challenged that belief completely.
Because of her consistency, trust, and willingness to evolve, I got to witness firsthand what long-term commitment to health can truly do. And now, being established in the area where I grew up has become the most meaningful part of my legacy. Taking a community you love — flaws and all — and helping shift its mindset for the better is the highest level of success to me.
The list of changes Hillary has made is endless. Over these 14 years, we’ve been through every challenge imaginable. But her greatest strength has stayed the same since day one:
She showed up.
Even when it was hard.Even when frustration crept in.Even when that voice in your head tells you to quit like it does to all of us.
She kept showing up.
Through this process, she improved her Hashimoto’s and thyroid health, corrected severe structural imbalances in her posture and back, eliminated most of her chronic pain, changed the way she walks and moves, transformed her complexion and energy levels, and lost 65 pounds — which honestly became one of the least important parts of her journey.
Because her transformation was never just about weight loss.
She truly embodies what I preach about healthy living:Strength.Flexibility.Movement.Energy.Longevity.Confidence.The ability to work harder, live fuller, and expand your life because your body finally supports you instead of fighting against you.
So many people in my hometown followed the example she set. And because of that, I owe her more than she probably realizes.
What’s amazing is that after all these years, we’re still learning. Still evolving. Still finding new levels to this process.
And it never gets old to me.
We’re going to keep doing this until one of us tips over someday. That’s the level of commitment and belief we’ve built together.
Here’s to 14 years — and many more chapters ahead.
