Spring is fast approaching and it’s time to start getting land clearing, and food plot prep and planting on your mind. We typically use food plot seed from Pure Whitetail, Whitetail Institute, Antler King, and Anilogic Outdoors. We also utilize alot of seeds locally such as Fast Pasture. If you’re thinking about having Honeycutt Outdoors Land Management come out and assist with food plot design or prep, now is the time to reach out so we can get soil samples and put together a game plan for planting.

We also assist with stand setup locations as well as entry and exit strategies. We even have some great recommendations if you really don’t want to go through all the steps of lime and fertilizer but still want your deer and turkey to have palatable food on your property. One of the greatest compliments we can receive is repeat business from happy customers. This was the third time we have been out to do some work for this friend/customer and it’s amazing the difference it has made. Knocking back some heavy undergrowth for a future home site and cleaned up the driveway washouts before we took off.

Here’s a job we wrapped up over the weekend. Overgrown waterfall feature with 3-4ft deep pond at the bottom of it. Hauled away all the rocks and debris then brought in some topsoil to level everything up. Finished it out by spreading straw to help with wash away and prevent such a muddy mess until grass is ready to start growing again. Look at how much more usable space was added to this part of their backyard! Plus they don’t have to worry about their dogs getting in the pond when they let them outside. This was a wonderful family to work for and already looking forward to coming back out to help with some additional projects down the road.

We’ve not been doing a great job of updating with pictures of jobs we’ve been doing over the last several months. However, I’ll try to do better and start uploading some more job pictures over the next couple days.
