Horizons Leadership Leadership conference held in the spring and fall at the Horizons Outdoor Learning Center for Job Co

The SGA Leadership Conference at the Horizons Outdoor Learning Center has been providing Job Corps student leaders with opportunities to develop leadership and team building skills since 1996. Both students and advisors attend program workshops specifically designed to help them improve their leadership skills. Attendees are also provided with the opportunity to partake into the Horizons Ropes Cou

rse Challenge program to sharpen their team building skills and better know their teammates. The conference has witnessed a mounting interest and is now happening three times during the Spring and Fall. At the end of the conference, the SGA from each Job Corps Center will draft and present an Action Plan on how they intend to impact their center during their time in office.

The 2025 Spring Job Corps SGA Leadership Conference at Horizons Leadership has come to an end! This morning, students presented their center’s action plan to their fellow conference attendees and will return to center to implement them. We want to congratulate all of the SGA leaders, advisors, and the staff who made this conference such a success!

Last week, we wrapped up the Philadelphia Region 2024 Fall Job Corps SGA Leadership Conference at Horizons Leadership! On Friday morning, students from the 12 centers attending presented their action plan to their fellow conference attendees and returned to the center to implement and improve their center student retention. We want to congratulate all SGA student leaders and advisors who made this conference a success this year and many years before!
