So apparently I spent yesterday being a farmer and didn't realize it was national farmers day. I don't want to recognize myself although I feel blessed to be able to do just a little bit of farming. My niece, Ella came with her dad yesterday and wanted to plant wheat to help out. Of course I didn't get pictures of every detail but she did a fantastic job at learning the ropes!! So here is all I got, but thanks Ella for coming to help your dad help me!!

Time for an update, currently we are in a D1 situation. Drought is starting to show, but we could be worse. I feel like we are fortunate in that the cov er crops have held our moisture really well. Yields will be interesting, I think mostly good, but we are going to lose out on the last little bit of pods and kernels. Hope the fall treats us well and harvest is smooth. But as in agriculture, no promises can be made!
