Hello Chancellor! We are Rapid Wireless, LLC based out of Hartford. We are a LOCAL owned and operated company bringing broadband to the rural areas around Geneva County and we have interest in expanding our network to Chancellor, should we have enough support there. As we have traveled around Geneva County this past year we have noticed that majority of houses do not have their house number posted in a easily visible location, or do not have it posted at all. We urge everyone to purchase a reflective house number sign and post it in a visible location by the road. There may be a time when you need police, fire, or EMS and this eliminates them having to search for your location and wasting valuable time that could mean life or death.

Reflective houses numbers can be purchased from the Sheriff Reserves or at Slocomb Police Department.

Just wanted to follow up with more information for Rapid Wireless, LLC coming to Wicksburg/Newton.

We have had a good bit of interest via our surveys and we have prequalified a good bit of the people that have submitted information so far. For the people that have already prequalified, we have send instructions via email on the next steps.
If we can get 40 people whose residence/business prequalifies to sign a 1-year contract and pre-pay their install fee of $199, we would move forward with the project. What does it mean to prequalify? If you can see the WDFX tower in Wicksburg we would most likely be able to get you internet service. Even if you cannot see this tower, that doesn't mean you won't be able to get our service, it just means we will have to check signals once the tower is online.

To make this project happen, we ask that you fill out the survey if you have not already and also get with your neighbors to see if they are interested in high-speed broadband and have them fill out our survey as well.
