Another project underway!
Recently, we were brought in to provide excavation services for a new basement addition in Brookfield, WI. Our scope of work included the foundation excavation, and once the masons have completed the block work, we'll return to install the drainage system, place the clear stone, backfill the foundation, and complete the rough grading.

This newer construction home was experiencing major water and drainage issues. Being situated between two neighboring properties with significantly higher elevations, the property was receiving excessive runoff from surrounding lots, along with natural spring water and a high water table.

To properly address the problem, we installed a complete drainage solution designed to redirect and manage water away from the home. This included a closed French drain system, a surface water collection system with three catch basins, and a total of 10 buried downspout connections — seven from the home and three from the neighboring property.
Each drainage system was installed using separate 4" triple-wall pipe before combining into two 6" main lines, which were then connected into two separate taps into the city storm drain system on each side of the house.

After completing the drainage improvements, we finished the project with a full regrade and new lawn installation, restoring the property and providing a long-term solution to the homeowner’s water issues.

Another project completed! We were recently subcontracted to handle the excavation, build the site pad, and prepare the foundation area for a grade beam slab. After construction was completed, we returned to backfill around the new build.

We have added a new excavator to our fleet, which has been utilized on multiple jobs, including drainage projects, tree and stump removal, sewer lateral installation, and topsoil transportation. This equipment will enable us to provide better service to our customers and accelerate production.

In between the raindrops, we completed this recycled asphalt millings driveway for a return customer. An asphalt millings driveway is as close as you can get to a paved surface at a fraction of the cost. It also lasts longer, sheds water, and is better for snow removal than gravel or traffic bond. We recently received a call from a customer who stated that their 40-foot culvert had failed and was collapsing in on itself. We assessed the situation and provided an estimate the same day. In the following days, we removed and replaced their failing culvert with an 18" x 40-foot dual-wall pipe that will never rust and will stand the test of time. We were also asked to regrade and topcoat their long gravel driveway, which we did with a 2-degree crown from center to edge on both sides for proper water drainage, and then vibratory rolled to proper compaction. Glad to help out another great customer!
