Wood construction and material reuse will certainly both play a global role as solutions to the environmental problems of growing waste and embodied emissions for new construction. The choices that designers make about material reuse also bear monitoring in relation to the embodied carbon of buildings.
Buildings are responsible for nearly 40 percent of the world’s carbon emissions. In Amsterdam, they are trying to create a blueprint to do something about it.
