This EMS Week, we proudly recognize the dedicated EMS providers of the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
While our company was founded in 1927, Magnolia officially entered the EMS field in 1980 with the addition of its first ambulance and the start of Basic Life Support transport services for our community.
In the early days of EMS at Magnolia, crews responded to only a couple hundred ambulance calls each year. Today, our EMS division handles well over 1,700 calls annually — a true reflection of the tremendous growth of our community and the increasing demand placed on our providers.
Today, our EMS crews staff one ambulance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — providing compassionate care, rapid response, and professional service to the citizens of Magnolia and surrounding communities.
Over the years, the EMS division has evolved from a fully volunteer service into a primarily career-staffed operation due to the steady increase in call volume and demand for service. Even with that growth, our volunteer members continue to play a vital role alongside our career staff, helping ensure the community receives the highest level of care possible.
To all of our EMTs, ambulance drivers, EMS staff, and volunteers — thank you for your commitment, sacrifice, and dedication to serving others.
From 1980 to today, the mission remains the same: Serving our community with pride, compassion, and professionalism.
