The AgriAquaculture Center of Excellence (AACE) continues to promote hands-on learning and agricultural education by stocking fresh fish in the Einstein Charter School GrowLab Kit. This initiative introduces students to aquaponics, an innovative and sustainable growing method that combines fish cultivation with plant production. The AACE team was in action for a one-day intensive “Train the Trainer” session with Jefferson Parish school teachers and administrators! 👩🏽‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫

Together, we dove into the ins and outs of maintaining and utilizing the aquaponics systems installed in their classrooms—turning hands-on learning into real-world opportunities for students! 🌿💧🐠

Our 4’ x 4’ aquaponics system may be compact, but when properly maintained, it can produce 300–400 heads of lettuce each year! 🤯🥬
