An 18’ deep sewer manhole we cut in for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health at the Taunton State Hospital.
This manhole was cut in over an active sewer main to allow for cleaning/jetting and inspection purposes. We also ran into boulders that were rolled out of the original foundation because they were too big to remove. We had to split these boulders to allow for the safe utilization of trench shoring.
We also had to work around a 12” clay storm drain line that tied into a 24” storm drain main just on the other side of the sewer main.
