The tatami technique creates beautiful curves, layered loops, and an immersive design experience you truly have to see from every angle 👀

It’s innovative, artistic, and a brilliant reminder that mechanics can completely transform floral design ✨

But this reel is just the beginning — to really understand the genius behind this design, you MUST watch the full session on GLFA’s YouTube channel.

GLFA Board Feature: Jerome Raska AIFD, PFCI, AAF, CF | Chair of Publication Committee | Education & Research Committee | GLFA Board Member Region One

One of Jerome’s favorite GLFA memories was being surprised with the Young Person of the Year Award early in his career — a meaningful moment made even more special with the help of his employers at the time, Roger and Lenice from Harry Miller Flowers.

His floral career was shaped by the belief that everyone can be a mentor if we stay open to learning from others. One of the biggest influences on Jerome’s career was Rocky Pollitz AIFD, AAF, PFCI, who took a chance on him and invited him to become an educator on the Teleflora Education Specialist team.

That opportunity allowed Jerome to connect with industry leaders from across the country, share his knowledge of design and business, and continue growing as both a designer and educator. Today, he continues to serve the floral community as Chair of GLFA’s Publication Committee and Education / Research Committee.

We are lucky to have members with such dedication to floral education, leadership, and continued support of our association.

We welcome you to get involved and help us shape the future of GLFA. Find volunteer opportunities and committee information on our website!
