Here is One Way to Make Sure Your Messaging Does Not Wander Aimlessly

I see so many people posting Ads and Content that is just all over the Place.

But I can Tell they are knowledgable with the Products they sell.

Their Post just wanders around aimlessly.

This will confuse prospects.

Heres a Formula that has helped me have more Focus with my Ads and Content.

I stole this from Copywriter David Deutsch.

It is the 1x3x3 Focus Formula.

Pick one thing your prospect needs to do or Believe.

For Mortgage Protection they might need to believe that getting a Policy will provide Financial Security for their Family if the worst were to happen.

Pick 3 Reasons why they should believe it.

1.) Their Spouse might not be able to cover Mortgage Payments

2.) Their Family Might have to sell the home

3.) They have the ability to prevent a financial hardship

Next Pick 3 Things That Prove those reasons.

This is where solid testimonials can come into play.

Or maybe you can just provide some facts.

Everyone knows the ins and outs of what they sell.

But adding some structure to your Ads and Content will attract more clients to you.

Being Clear and Providing Proof will establish you as the trusted authority.

One Simple Way for Better Ads and Content

The Best Way to make Your Ads or Content more effective is to…

Simplify it.

I know that is basic.

But it works wonders.

And Honestly is something I still Battle today.

Insurance Products can be complex to our prospects.

So How can we make them simple?

Write your Ads or Content like you are writing to a third grader.

No one cares about the BIG financial and Insurance words that you know.

They care about how what you are selling will benefit them.

It can be easy to fall into the trap of wanting to show how knowledgable you are from the jump.

Yah know to establish credibility.

That can be better used on the sales call.

When the goal is engagement or lead generation we want to keep it simple.

One tool I like to use is the FK Score.

I will copy my ad or content script into one of their calculators to determine how simple and easy it is to understand.

This will make you more clear on a couple things.

What you sell.

How that helps your clients.

What emotions you want to drive.

What action you want them to take.

For Example I could sit here and explain the the Law of Gravity is F=GmM/r^2.

OR I could just say “What goes up, must come down”

Like I said I am still battling making my content and ads more clear.

But it really makes you think.

And in return makes you a better marketer.

How Working Backwards Can Make an Excellent Ad

Working backwards is a strategy that can help with business and life.

Take what you want and work backwards on the steps on how to get there.

It Can even help with your ads or content.

You want them to Click the Call To Action.

A level deeper than that is…

What emotion do I have to drive to make them want to click the Call to Action.

Or

What mindset shift or perspective to I have to show them that makes them want to click the Call to Action.

Take either one of those and work backwards.

For Final Expense it might be…

The thought of them leaving their family behind with the Funeral Bill (Emotion)

Or

That just saving the money for their own Funeral Rarely ever works (Perspective)

Like I Mentioned this helps in business and in life.

But Can really help make your ad, email, or content flow.

Get Clear on the One Emotion or Perspective you want to drive.

And Make sure it is just One Emotion or Perspective.

Once you add multiple emotions and perspectives into an ad everyone gets confused.

And your Call to Action button will collect cobwebs because you were confusing and unclear.

If You Are New to Trying Out Generate Your Own Leads…

Here is a simple formula that has helped Me when I started.

P.A.S (Problem, Agitate, Solve)

Dan Kennedy really focuses on this copy/content formula (And thats where I learned it from)

With whatever product you Sell FEX, Mortgage Protection, IUL, Annuities.

Call out the problem at hand.

For a Final Expense Example it may look like….

”So many people will leaved their loved ones behind with costs of their Funeral and Final Expenses”

Next You Agitate it.

Here you want to drive emotion to make them want to change.

Final Expense Example cont’d

”Now the last memory their family has… is them being a Financial Burden to everyone”

Now you Solve the Problem.

Show them why what you have to offer can take their problem away.

”It does not have to be that way, we work with multiple carriers to give you the best options so that you are not a burden on your loved ones”

This can be used if your writing Ad Copy.

It can be good for a Video Script.

If you are stuck and do not know where to start.

This is just a simple way to lay out your ad.

The more you do it, the better you will get.

Here is One Strategy That Helps Me Determine Who to Target

It is Phase 1 of an FB Ads Strategy that I have grown Fond of.

Start with one Campaign.

3-6 Ad Sets in the Campaign.

Take two Ads and put them in each Ad Set.

Set the Budget for Ad Set Budget Optimization.

$10/Day for each Ad Set is ideal

Now heres how you test Audiences.

Your first Ad Set just target a broad Audience (i.e States you are licensed in and age range).

The Rest of your Ad Sets test different demographics and interest in each one.

For Example For one the Ad Sets you might target parents.

And The Next Ad Set maybe Grandparent.

Let it run for 7-14 Days.

In this time frame you will collect data on who is responding to your messaging.

After 14 Days look at you numbers.

Some of the key numbers I like to look at are…

1) Number of Leads

2) Cost Per Lead

3) CTR

4) Unique Outbound CTR

Take your ads that did not perform well and move the budget into the better performing one.

This will give you the ability to start to scale effectively.

Write out new messaging that caters toward the demographic and Interests that you are targeting.

Always think along the way…

Who have I been Talking to?

Who have I helped?

Thats another way to effectively Target People.

Testing audiences is important.

Even though we sell the same thing The Demographics/Interest I target may perform differently for you.

How to Retain Your Clients Forever

The Sale is made.

Now it is time to become a marketer again.

Stay in front of them.

Send Educational Videos.

See if they Have any questions.

Schedule check ins every couple months.

Ask for referrals.

Referrals will dramatically increase the chances of your clients sticking with you.

But all in all become a Marketer Again.

Marketer > Sales Pro >Marketer

Thats the progression.

They are client for life.

Let’s Say you bought something from Nike.

You get put on the Email List.

Two months later you get an email with something new and you buy from Nike again.

You are a customer for life.

Same goes with Life Insurance.

No, one person will not buy a policy from you over and over again.

But staying front of them will keep you in the forefront of their mind.

So when they are having a conversation about insurance you will be the first person they think of.

This is the Extra Mile.

That extra mile is the key to exponentially growing your business.

You can turn a $10 lead into a 1 client no problem.

But when you can turn a $10 Lead into 5 clients.

Your Business wil BOOM.

Clarity Is A Weapon

Being Clear on what you want to accomplish.

The Ideal Clients you want to help.

The messaging you put out.

This will transcend your business.

First Get clear on what you want to accomplish.

As in how many people do I want to help out this Year, month, week?

Next what am I selling?

Final Expense? Mortgage Protection? IULs? Whole Life? Annuities?

Next ask what problems does my product solve?

And write out an answer in a paragraph format.

If you cannot do that then you are not Clear on how your product can serve your clients best.

Think.

Write it out by hand.

Throw out the paper.

And rewrite it.

All of this will help elevate your messaging for Organic Content, Ads, Videos, Email, etcetera.

When your messaging is clear.

It will attract better clients.

Clarity on how your product serves people in a way that leaves them in a better position after working with you.

You will in return serve more people.

The more people you start to serve the bigger your business will grow.

Which will allow you to expand and grow.

Get Clear.

Leverage the clarity to propel your Insurance Business.
