Got back here and finished the backfill and final grade so the plumber can come in next to put the underground in. Everything fine graded out within 1/2”. Wonder if it will still look this good after the plumber is done? Asking for a friend. 🤣

Dug footings earlier this week for a new church building at Gospel Light Baptist Church. Footing and wall poured by McKinney poured Walls. Will be backfilling the foundation this time next week so the plumber can come in and do the underground.

Added this ole girl to the fleet. She will probably be used as our next chloride (dust control / water) truck next year and retire the other old (1996) Ford we been running. This one has AC! Lol

This house was built last year and had no driveway installed. So the homeowner hired us to cut in a new driveway and install 1.25” limestone

Received a poster from Kobelco Corporation / Grand Equipment today. Although we have bought many pieces of equipment from Grand / Bill McDaniel over the years, this is the only pic that I was able to obtain of Bill and I. Turns out it was the last piece he sold before he retired. Enjoy your retirement Bill McDaniel and stay in touch my friend!

Well, everyone screws up every now and then. Even the boss! That’s what happens when you’re mind is going in ten different directions instead of the task at hand. Anyway it doesn’t matter how I did it but it happened, messed up my drivers side door on my truck tractor. Luckily my dad has a identical truck in the bone yard that was one of the last trucks on the road that my grandpa owned before he passed in 2009. I been asked if I am going to paint it to match the rest of the truck. Well at first I thought maybe I will, but then I have since thought nope I not going to. Every time I see that it doesn’t match , it will remind me where I came from and how this all started and to slow down and pay attention to the task at hand! I also want to give a shout out to my friends Dave Keller and Craig Lord, owners of Woodland Auto Body for pretty much dropping everything to not only come out and take the door off the donor truck but then installing it on mine. If you need any body work done I highly recommend them, Thanks Guys!

Perfect timing to lay / compact some asphalt millings on this driveway. With the heat next week these should set up nicely!
