We all know that smoke detector batteries should be replaced every six months, but how many of your realize that all smoke detectors, wired and non-wired, have a finite life span and must be replaced every ten years. Give Will Call Handyman a call and we can handle the task for you.

Everyone knows that smoke detectors, both wired and non-wired, should have their batteries replaced every 6 months, but many of us are too busy or don’t like climbing ladders. Let Will Call Handyman do the job for you. In fact we can set up a periodic appointment to do the work so you never have to hear that annoying beeping caused by a dead battery again.

Does your garbage disposal just hum and not run or just plain not work? Well here is a simple fix that you can perform yourself and save some money. If the garbage disposal just hums, turn off the switch and insert the crank that came with the garbage disposal in the hexagonal hole in the bottom of the unit and give it a few cranks clockwise and counter clockwise to free up a jam, then remove the crank and give it a try again. If the garbage disposal doesn’t run at all, turn off the switch and check to be sure it isn’t jammed as just described and then depress the red reset button on the bottom of the garbage disposal. If it clicks in, you probably solved your problem. If not, give Will Call Handyman a call and we will see if a replacement is necessary and handle the repair.
