We were thrilled to host the Barrio Logan Association’s Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) team for a tour of our SA Recycling San Diego facility today. It was a great opportunity to introduce our local partners to our daily operations and services. Because the MAD team is responsible for maintaining the public's right-of-way, we are proud to support their mission by sponsoring 20 pet waste disposal stations for the district.

Together, we are working to keep Barrio Logan clean, green, and sustainable.

When a community comes together, amazing things happen. ❤️✨

For nine years, Sheree Brown Perry, a dedicated single mom of two, has physically carried her son Cameron, who was born with spina bifida, up and down their front steps every single day along with his wheelchair.

When word reached our team and the incredible folks at the Swainsboro Shrine Club, everyone asked one simple question: "What can we do to help?"

Thanks to a true team effort, volunteers spent the day constructing a brand-new wheelchair ramp for Cameron’s home. To make things even better, SA Recycling was honored to make a donation toward a motorized wheelchair to help give Cameron even more independence!

Seeing Cameron test-drive his new ramp with a yard full of cheering neighbors said it all. We are so proud to be part of communities that lift each other up.

Another successful SA Recycling Annual Family Picnic – Southern California!

This year, our Anaheim, DBW, Corona, and Santa Ana facilities came together for an unforgettable day at Knott’s Berry Farm. Employees and their families enjoyed exciting rides, fun activities, delicious food, and fantastic raffle prizes while making lasting memories together. A special thank you and congratulations to all of the managers who helped plan and coordinate this incredible event. Your hard work and dedication made it a wonderful day of appreciation and fun for our employees and their families. We look forward to many more great memories together!

Our SA Recycling San Diego crew is still buzzing from June 20th! Sci Aps and Viking Motorsports invited some of our local employees for an epic day on pit lane at Naval Base Coronado. It was mind-blowing to watch the SA Recycling logo crush the track on the #99 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Parker Retzlaff! 🏎️💨

Not only did we get the full VIP treatment, but we also got to witness history: the first-ever NASCAR street race on an active military base. Huge thanks to Sci Apps and Viking Motor Sports for this amazing experience.

SA Thousand Palms is proud to support our local athletes and youth programs across the Coachella Valley. This month, we sponsored a talented young man from Indio High School as he competed at the Junior Olympics Regional Trials in San Diego and the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon from June 19–22. He earned an impressive 2nd place finish at the Junior Olympics, advancing to the Champion round, and placed 14th in Oregon. (4 photos)

We also contributed to the Indio High School Track Team to help their athletes continue training and competing at a high level. (2 photos)

Our team donated to the PDYSA 6U Shetland Rays baseball team, supporting their season and love for the game. (2 photos)

On Friday, June 26, the ILWU, PMA, and wider maritime community met at the Dalmatian-American Club for the 21st Annual ILWU/PMA Luncheon. For 21 years, this luncheon has been made possible by one fact: On the waterfront, people take care of their own. That’s why, SA Recycling, Terminal Island proudly sponsored the event, it wasn’t just to share a meal but to connect with and invest directly in the youth of our community. Each year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor serves 2,600 youth across 26 Club sites, providing arts, athletics, academic support, mentorship, and college and workforce readiness. Together on Friday, the funds that were raised will continue to keep these programs running. The luncheon is one day, but the work is year-round.
