Avoidance of accountability amongst team members is one of the "Five Dysfunctions of a Team," according to Lencioni. Even though it frustrates hard-working employees at every level within an organization, there's so many reasons why people avoid accountability. Why is this? How people feel matters. Communication flows freely, ideas turn into action, and teams achieve more when morale is high and people feel valued. Here's some feel-good inspiration:

👷Make sure feedback is constructive! Highlight something you appreciate, talk about something the person is doing well, and explain why it's successful.

📅 Be weary of complacency! Seek out everyday moments where you can recognize your team, your peers, and your boss, just because they're being amazing... as usual!

🫶Consider implementing a structured rewards and recognition program. Make sure everyone (including leaders) are eligible and motivated to participate.
