Blount County EMS Transition Announcement
Effective January 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM, Blount County will officially transition to a new 911 ambulance service provider, AmeriPro EMS.
AmeriPro EMS will provide 24/7/365 emergency medical coverage throughout the county with a deployment of four fully staffed ambulances under a contractual agreement. Of these, three units will be Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Paramedic-level ambulances, and one unit will be an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance staffed by an Advanced EMT.
To ensure strong operational leadership and consistent system oversight, AmeriPro EMS will assign a Captain to serve as the County Operations Manager. This position will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be equipped with a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) carrying full ACLS equipment. The Captain is Paramedic-certified and will provide on-scene clinical leadership, quality assurance, and system coordination, responding to calls when needed. Additionally, each shift will be supervised by a Lieutenant to ensure continuous oversight and accountability.
AmeriPro EMS will operate out of three strategically located stations within the county: Oneonta, Cleveland, and Hayden.
Rosa Fire Department looks forward to this new partnership with AmeriPro EMS to remain committed to delivering the highest level of emergency medical care to the citizens of Blount County.
