✨ Meet the Man Behind Hayward Mercantile LLC!

Some people build a business. Others build something more — a place that reflects who they are and the people they care about.

Meet Jeff, the man behind Hayward Mercantile LLC — a genuinely great guy who would probably prefer to stay behind the scenes rather than be in the spotlight.

Last week, his wonderful staff celebrated him for , and it was a great reminder that behind every great business is a person who makes a difference.

He may not seek recognition, but sometimes the people who deserve it most are the ones who never ask for it.

Jeff & Hayward Mercantile THANKS for being part of what makes our downtown community so special! ❤️

This is Jeff! The wonderful man behind the magic at the Mercantile! Happy bosses day to a caring, kind, understanding, and all around great guy!
Those of us lucky enough to work here treat the store as our very own! We are encouraged to offer new ideas, new products, and when people say we are a family at a business, this really rings true at the Mercantile!
Thank you again Jeff for making this a fun place to work and to be proud of!!

🍁Enjoy beautiful fall days on the Hospital Trails!

TRAILS at Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center consists of 7.5 miles used for hiking, running and biking during spring, summer & fall.

The Hospital Trails, considered a gem amongst the area trails, are located close to town, adjacent to the Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center.

The trail system includes over 8 miles of trails dedicated to hiking, running and walking. The trails are a mix of flat and easy-rolling terrain, winding around a lake and through pines and hardwoods. In the winter people enjoy skiing on the classic-only ski trail and snowshoeing.

The trail system also includes the CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association) Gateway Trail, providing over 5 miles of mountain bike trails. CAMBA has designed the Gateway Trail for entry-level riders, and it's intended to attract younger users. The trail is easier than traditional single-track mountain bike trails and is also wider. The trails have a smooth natural surface, gentle grades and turns, good sight lines and no mandatory technical obstacles. The trail is a great place for families and will provide young or new riders the opportunity to develop their mountain bike skills. Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on bike trails.

The Hospital Trails are considered a community recreational resource and a great place to meet family or friends for a workout or a relaxing stroll. The Hayward School District mountain bike team and cross-country running teams use the trails for after-school practice. Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center staff and community members can be found enjoying the trails during their lunch breaks and after work.

Special appreciation is extended to CAMBA and HASTA for their ongoing support, maintenance and winter trail grooming.
