We interrupt the normal Saturday Boot Repair with emergency fence maintenance. Apparently the moose came through the area and broke the top wire in seven different spots and broke a corner post. Horses were in the hay field this morning.

Jess decided we need to get into shape. She thinks I’m fat so she bought a treadmill. But when you’re at the farm with no treadmill just head down the approach and down the township road. Only 3/4 of a mile just to get the blood flowing. Day 6 walking every day.

Great seats at Red Clay Strays. Jess kept sending me ads for the concert so apparently she really wanted to go. One of the best concerts we’ve been to. Must See. But leave it to Bismarck. Band had to stop a song because the fight broke out in front of the stage and security had to drag two people out.

Loving this new black cherry Pro dye from Fiebing Company. Decided to try it on a personal Holster with Cardinal red stitching and a little bit of oakleaf stiffener.

Once in a while, I like to look through Al’s old Holster book just to get inspiration. Starting the week out making another Holster for myself. And if you watch to the end, I don’t only have his 1962 #40 Holster book… I have two.

Didn’t like any of the tans we had in the shop. None of them matched the my new desert tan Sig365. So I tried the new army green that we got from Ian at Fiebing Company in Sheridan this year. I like the contrast. Didn’t bother to antique the basketweave because this is my personal and will be used at the farm and get beat up pretty good. Once again, Slickbald Customs press worked great. Perfect retention, snaps just like kydex and of course since it’s Leather it’s better than Kydex.
