Brother Steve Schmidt, retiree of Minnkota Power Cooperative, passed away on October 15, 2023. His beneficiary was paid the sum of $2,640.00, which was the amount in the Death Benefit Fund account when we were notified of his death. Any member who wants to participate in and/or remain in the Death Benefit Fund must send $10.00.

• Each active member must be paid in full at the time of death to receive benefit.
• Members are now able and encouraged to pay ahead.
• Retirees may continue to participate so long as they do not lapse in payment.
