Strong storms are forecasted across Southeast Georgia today, with the potential for damaging wind gusts between 50–70 mph, heavy rain, lightning, and isolated severe storms.
🌩️ Current conditions: Storm bands are already moving through parts of the region this morning, and additional severe weather is expected throughout the day and into tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has indicated an enhanced risk for severe storms within the next 24 hours.
✅ Precautions to Take NOW:
• Secure or bring inside loose outdoor items (trash cans, patio furniture, tools, signs, trampolines)
• Move vehicles away from large trees or unstable structures
• Charge phones, power banks, and essential equipment
• Prepare flashlights and batteries in case of power outages
• Avoid travel during heavy storms or high winds
