Good morning Georgia. Orb will be out of the office this morning checking job sites and securing items.

Please monitor your local weather. We’ve had our first round of rain but it’s stopped for the moment, wind isn’t bad yet.

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER ALERT — Southeast Georgia ⚠️

Strong storms are forecasted across Southeast Georgia today, with the potential for damaging wind gusts between 50–70 mph, heavy rain, lightning, and isolated severe storms.

🌩️ Current conditions: Storm bands are already moving through parts of the region this morning, and additional severe weather is expected throughout the day and into tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has indicated an enhanced risk for severe storms within the next 24 hours.

✅ Precautions to Take NOW:

• Secure or bring inside loose outdoor items (trash cans, patio furniture, tools, signs, trampolines)
• Move vehicles away from large trees or unstable structures
• Charge phones, power banks, and essential equipment
• Prepare flashlights and batteries in case of power outages
• Avoid travel during heavy storms or high winds
• Stay weather-aware — have alerts turned ON
• Contractors & crews: tie down materials, cover exposed roofs, secure job sites

💨 High winds of this strength can cause:
• Roof damage & shingle loss
• Downed trees and power lines
• Fence and signage failures
• Flying debris hazards

If you experience storm damage, document everything safely once conditions clear.

Our team at ORB Roofing & Construction is monitoring conditions and ready to assist with emergency tarping, inspections, and damage assessments if needed.

📞 Stay safe, stay prepared, and check on your neighbors.

Good morning, everyone — ORB FL, ORB GA, and well… me.

I appreciate your understanding, but I need to take a little time this morning. I will be traveling down to ORB FL today once I strategically avoid the rush-hour madness, and it seems like a good opportunity to try and catch even a small moment of rest.

I want everyone to know how much I appreciate you. I know I owe a ton of return messages and calls, and I am working on getting through them. Please don’t take it personally — it’s definitely not you, it’s me simply trying to navigate a lot at once.

Although it has always been mine and Jake’s intention to keep our business phones constantly available, this morning I’m going to let voicemail pinch-hit for me for the first time outside of holidays or family time. Thank you for the kindness and consideration as I work through this.

I want to reassure everyone that this is not the new normal for ORB. We are steady, we are strong, and we continue forward.

Our hearts are with everyone across the Caribbean who’ve been impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

For so many of us here at home — especially those who lived through Hurricane Ian, Helene and the other storms that tore through our coasts, these new images hit differently. They bring back that familiar ache.
The smell of rain, the hum of a generator, the silence after the wind. It all comes back.

You may not be in the path this time, but your heart remembers. And that’s okay. It’s part of being human.

💔 The Reality of Recovery

Storms fade from the headlines faster than communities heal.
There are still families in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas rebuilding from Ian and Helene, waiting on insurance, living in temporary homes, trying to move forward one small step at a time.

And now, as we watch another storm unfold, it can stir up emotions we thought we’d already worked through — the frustration, the exhaustion, the fear of starting over again.

That’s real. It’s part of the process.

🙏 Finding Calm and Staying Grounded

If what you’re seeing feels heavy, take a moment.
Breathe.
You’re not weak — you’re human.

Here’s what helps:
🌿 Acknowledge it. Say, “I’m feeling this.” Sometimes naming it is enough to release it.
💬 Talk to someone who understands. Don’t carry it alone.
📖 Pray or write. Get it out of your head and onto paper.
🕯️ Remember what you’ve already survived. You’ve done hard things before you can do them again.
🤝 Turn emotion into compassion. Check on someone. Help where you can. Give if you’re able.

💡 When Everything Feels Overwhelming

So many people — both here and abroad need help right now.
It can feel like too much. But we’re not called to fix everything.
We’re called to care where we’re able.

You might not be able to rebuild a home in Jamaica or Florida, but you can pray, you can share, you can remind others that storms don’t end when the news stops covering them.

Every act of compassion matters.

❤️ To Those Still Rebuilding

To every family still working to rebuild from Ian, Helene, or any storm that changed your life — we see you.
We know the frustration, the waiting, the exhaustion that hits when the world has moved on but your life hasn’t.
You are not forgotten.

🌾 A Heartfelt Congratulations to Stagger Lee and Lori Lee — and the Entire Lee Family 🌾

Jake and I are so proud and honored to celebrate Stagger Lee’s induction into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame! 🎶 This incredible achievement honors a lifetime of passion, talent, and devotion to the sounds of country and bluegrass music — and it couldn’t be more deserved.

The Lee family’s love of music runs generations deep. Stagger, his sister Diana, and his late brother Dale have each been inducted into the Hall of Fame — a rare and beautiful testament to a family whose roots are firmly planted in Georgia soil and whose hearts beat to the rhythm of homegrown music. Though their early beginnings included a touch of rockabilly, their legacy has flourished through the authentic storytelling, harmonies, and heart that define bluegrass and country — a sound that celebrates life, love, and the people of Georgia. 🎻🎵

Stagger’s beautiful wife, Lori Lee, has become an integral part of the Lee family’s ongoing legacy — a woman of strength, grace, and faith who brings her own musical talent, work ethic, and vision to everything she does. Together, they’ve poured heart and purpose into building the Stagger Lee Music & RV Campground, a true Georgia treasure where community and music come together in harmony.

Every building on their land tells a story. Using trees harvested from their own property and milled by hand in their family sawmill, they’ve created a sanctuary of music and fellowship. Their cousin George, who runs the sawmill and oversees the upkeep and construction of the property, and his amazing wife Sherry, who works tirelessly beside him, have poured countless hours into making the dream thrive. Stagger’s brother Rodney plays a vital role in maintaining and caring for the grounds, ensuring that every guest feels at home. Together, this family has turned hard work and faith into a lasting legacy. 🌲🏡

When Hurricane Helene swept through and brought devastation, the Lee family’s resolve only grew stronger. They rebuilt — not just for themselves, but for others — determined to restore their vision and even host last week’s unforgettable bluegrass festival. Their land became a refuge in the storm, opening its arms to power line workers, recovery crews, and displaced families who needed a safe, welcoming place to rest. Their compassion, hospitality, and unwavering love for others shine as brightly as their music. ✝️💛

Today, Stagger enjoys a well-earned chapter of retirement, free to focus again on his music — while Lori continues to flourish in her own musical path and career as a Level 3 Coating Inspector, looking forward to the day they can both fully live out their dream together.

As Jake and I prepare to move into our new home here in Georgia, leaving the land of Stagger and Lori feels bittersweet. We are deeply grateful to have been welcomed by them and their family — people whose warmth, talent, and genuine love for God and others have blessed our lives beyond measure.

If you haven’t yet — discover Stagger Lee’s music, visit their beautiful Stagger Lee Music & RV Campground, and support this incredible family and their dream. You’ll find more than songs and scenery — you’ll find the heart of Georgia: faith, resilience, family, and bluegrass. 💛🎶

Congratulations, Stagger, Lori, and the entire Lee family — your love, your music, and your faith will forever be part of Georgia’s story.
