"A true expression of coastal Chardonnay. With no new oak, the nose is salty and slightly reductive at first, with hints of seaweed, before opening into pleasant citrus tones. On the palate, green apple skins and mandarin peel are softened by a touch of citrus cream that carries through a silky mid-palate. There’s a nice tension on the finish, long and vibrant: - and discussing Flowers 2023 Almar Chardonnay as one of the 20 wines driving the “new wave” of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.
