Every Friday, we’ll pull a special bottle from the cellar — or open something we’re considering for the bottle list — and pour it by the glass for one weekend only.

These are wines with stories: reserve bottlings, single-vineyard selections, library wines with age, and limited-production releases that we simply don’t open every day. Some may only yield a handful of glasses before they’re gone.

This Friday’s Cellar Pour is our 2008 Dry Riesling — showing its age with elegance and restraint. Lightly honied, with notes of clover honey, orange marmalade, and cured lemon, it balances maturity with vibrant acidity and remarkable freshness.

Just a few pics from Friday’s Winemakers’ Dinner.
1. Pork tenderloin, stuffed with prosciutto and parmigiano, with a Riesling-Miso glaze and grilled asparagus. Paired with 2024 Cabernet Franc and 2016 Curry Creek Pinot Gris, which was a really fun, orange-tinted, savory expression of Pinot Gris.

2. Trio of Creme for Dessert. Creme brûlée base topped with Blueberry, Caramel, and Raspberry, paired with 2017 Tango Oaks Noble Select Riesling.

What’s the latest new news at Red Newt?
The Bistro is now serving dinner!
In addition to our daily lite fare & Friday - Sunday lunch, we’ll be OPEN for DINNER Friday & Saturday 5-8pm.

There’s no better place to relax, enjoy some tapas inspired small plates (or full dinner entrees), sip on a glass of wine (or a bottle from our very cool list of current and library wines) and drink in the sunset.

Well…what a difference a day makes!

Winter’s (hopefully) last hurrah is here, and it calls for comfort food — like our savory Swedish meatballs or a yummy grilled cheese with onion jam and a side of our famous tomato soup.

We’re serving lunch in the bistro from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Stop in to warm up with a good bite!
