It’s that time of year again. Time to get ready to file taxes by April 15th if you owe and anytime until then if you are due a refund.

If you collected California unemployment $10,200 of the total amount is not federally taxed for tax year 2020. Enter the number on your 1099G and the $10,200 is entered as a negative amount schedule 1 line 8.

California C Corporations Franchise Tax Board due dates:

Form 1120 due on 15th day of the 4th month after the close of your tax year.

Your total tax owed is due on the same day as above.

Minimum franchise tax is $800 for the current year is due on the same day as above.

You are not required to pay the annual corporate fee.

California LLC dates for Franchise Tax Board:

Tax Form 1120 - Due the 4th month after the close of your tax year.

Annual Corporate Tax of $800 - Due the 15th day of the 4th month after the beginning of your tax year. Use LLC tax voucher (3522) when making payment and to figure out your due date found on Ftb.ca.gov.

You are required to pay an annual fee for estimated taxes due by the 15th day of the 6th month of the current tax year. Use estimated fee for LLC’s (3536) at Ftb.ca.gov.

Here is a good tip... if you pay your credit cards on time, it doesn’t hurt to call the issuing bank and ask for a better interest rate, most will give it to you. You can also ask them to raise your credit limit, if you so desire.
