Praying for peace and strength for the family, friends, and fellow firefighters at Crawford VFD during this difficult time.

As a neighboring department, we had the honor to work alongside Bill on many incidents.

"As firefighters, we are a family, a brotherhood and sisterhood bonded by a shared commitment to serve and protect our community. When one of us falls, we all grieve."

Funeral services for CVFD Assistant Chief Bill Lux will be held Friday, September 18th at 2:00 pm at the Crawford Community Building. A live stream will be available for those unable to attend, details will be provided at a later date. Procession to follow with burial at the Crawford Cemetery. Reception at the Crawford Fire Hall, please bring lawn chairs and come share your memories.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to Cole Baumann and his wife Shayleen, at Knox Road Taxidermy for their donation from the bump-and-run car raffle tickets. 🎟

One of our very own department members, Mark Klemke won the raffle and drove the car during the event. 🏁 🏎

The Baumann family visited the fire station this week and presented HVFD with a check donation for $2,780.00 to be split with all the Pine Ridge Mutual Aid Association (PRMAA) departments. Those departments include: Alliance, Angostura, Ardmore, Chadron, Crawford, Harrison, Hay Springs, Heart of the Hills, Hemingford, Gordon, Merriman & Rushville. 🚒 🚑

This is just another great example of how we have a wonderful community that supports us! Thank you to all that purchased tickets and/or made a donation, we thank you all!! 👏

Lastly, thank you again to the Baumann Family at Knox Road Taxidermy for your time and labor into this giant endeavor! We appreciate you! ❤️

We want to thank Alliance Fire Department for bringing down their trucks for the Box Butte County fair parade! 🚒 🚑 🍀

It was great to see so many trucks together for a happy occasion! 😎

Thank you Box Butte County Fair for inviting us down for the Touch-a-Truck event during family night!! 😁 😎

I think the adults had as much fun as the kids checking out all the cool trucks, the ambulance and AirLink's helicopter! 🚒 🚑 🚁 🚓

We started the week off right with a beautiful evening and good company. ☀️

Looking forward to coming back later this week for the rubber check race, the ranch rodeo 🏇 the parade 🎈 and the bump-and-run. 🏁 🏎

This evening we partnered with AirLink - Regional West for LZ (landing zone) training and protocol updates from the flight staff.

We also had Box Butte County deputies stop by for the training as well.
