I know we haven't posted anything in a while and we apologize but we are back and this time for good. Since its been sooo hot this week we took the kids to the sprinklers in the park and they had a blast. This summer we will keep you updated on activities we do with the kids such as going to the sprinklers and even doing slip n' slide with them.

All of us from Small Steps Daycare would like to wish all the mothers out there a wonderful Mothers Day. Today we are celebrating a special moment with the kids by having them make pop up mothers day cards.

Since vacation time is here we are gonna have fun with the kids this week while they are off of school. We will be doing egg colorings with them and also a wild egg hunt around the daycare. This will help them use their brain for thinking skills as well as having fun.

Hey parents Spring is here!!!!!! Grab your calendars and start making plans with your kids. The weather has been on and off these past couple of weeks but when the weather gets good you gotta head out with the little munchkins. Head to the park and let them meet new friends on the monkey bars. Go for walks so they can explore their surroundings and get familiar with new things. Trust me your babies will love it :)

This month we will be teaching the kids how to decipher same and different. Every afternoon we get started by playing a game of memory with them which helps them locate same and different objects while building up their memory skills.

2. Don't touch your face. It might seem kind of crazy but its very helpful. Germs travel through open portals in the body like the eyes nose and mouth. Touching those spots with your hands will invite germs in the do their job so try not to touch your face as much.
1. The most important thing is to wash your hands for 20 seconds at a time with warm water. Everything you touch has germs so always wash your hands.

4. Get plenty of exercise both you and your kids. Try to develop a routine with your child that both of you can enjoy because in the long run it helps boost your immune system.
3. Avoid other people who are sick. Thats one of the most easiest ways to get sick. If someone is around you and they only sneeze you can catch what they have so try to be very careful.

6. One of the most important facts everyone should know is to drink plenty of fluids especially water. Water carries nutrients to cells and flushes out the toxins which keeps our body healthy. So drink PLENTY OF WATER!!
5. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies since they are packed with nutrients that help the immune system fight of infections.
