The 2026 Rural Food and Health Forum, presented by The Green Rural Redevelopment Organization GRRO in partnership with the Eva Clayton Rural Food Institute, brought together community voices, health care professionals, farmers and policymakers to discuss better food access, improved health and stronger rural economies. A key focus was making sure the people living in rural communities help shape the solutions meant to serve them.

2 Kings Media was honored to capture this two-day event. Here are a few moments from Day One, The Leadership Reception hosted by the K.B. Reynolds Charitable Trust and Maria Parham Duke LifePoint Healthcare. This event was presented by The Green Rural Redevelopment Organization GRRO and The Eva Clayton Rural Food Institute.

It was inspiring to hear from leaders across our state and rural communities who share a commitment to improving rural health and strengthening our food systems. The conversations and connections made for a powerful start to the forum!
