The IRGC's main X account with over 150,000 followers was blocked across the EU following the operation.

Michail Chkhikvishvili, known as "Commander Butcher" and the leader of the international nihilistic violent extremist group Maniac Murder Cult, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to soliciting hate crimes and distributing bomb and ricin manufacturing instructions targeting Jewish children and racial minorities in New York City. Prosecutors directly linked his manifesto, called the "Hater's Handbook," to the January 2025 Antioch High School shooting in Nashville, where the 17-year-old attacker claimed in an audio recording that he was acting on behalf of Maniac Murder Cult and named Chkhikvishvili personally. Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a 21-year-old Pakistani national living in Canada on a student permit, pleaded guilty to an ISIS-inspired plot to carry out a mass shooting at a prominent Jewish center in Brooklyn, New York, timed to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks, with his stated goal being to kill as many Jews as possible. He was intercepted just 12 miles from the U.S.-Canada border in September 2024 while actively attempting to cross and carry out the attack, and prosecutors say he described his plan as potentially the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. He faces up to life in prison at sentencing scheduled for August 12, 2026.

The group organized on TikTok, moved to Signal for operational planning, and had a tiered membership structure with body armor and fi****ms requirements. Twenty-three people were in encrypted chats discussing pre-operational details including sniper positions and drone launch sites. What stopped it was a parent who made a phone call to local law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.

Brooklyn man Carlisle Rivera, a convicted murderer, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in an IRGC-directed murder-for-hire plot targeting Iranian-American journalist Masih Alinejad in New York City. Prosecutors say IRGC leaders passed instructions through an associate named Farhad Shakeri, who paid Rivera $100,000 to locate and kill Alinejad, and Rivera spent months conducting active surveillance on her, following her to public events and staking out her Brooklyn neighborhood. Shakeri remains at large, and this case is a direct warning that Iran does not always use trained operatives, sometimes it uses local criminals who know the streets and can get close fast.
