Network rack wrapped up for this phase 🔧

This rack is coming together clean and organized, setting the foundation for everything in this building. For now, we’ve got the core equipment in place—including the cameras staged in the rack so they can be fully programmed and ready for install.

In the next phase, we’ll be running additional lines, adding a second patch panel under the 48-port switch, and expanding the system with more access control doors.

There’s still a lot more to come on this project—this is just the beginning.

This one started a little differently—the TV had to be shipped via freight, and I actually had to meet an 18-wheeler to pick it up since they couldn’t deliver directly to the job site. Not your typical delivery day 😅

We installed a 65” TV along with a Logitech conference room camera to create a clean, professional setup for meetings and video calls.

What makes this setup really shine is the simplicity. Just to the left of the TV (not pictured), we installed a USB-C wall port—so all you have to do is plug in your laptop, and you’re instantly connected to the display and camera. No complicated setup, no wasted time.

Building out a reliable video monitoring kit 🔐

This system is designed from the ground up for reliability and constant connectivity.

At the core, we’re using a Peplink B One 5G router, which gives us dual WAN ports plus an integrated 5G modem. That means this system can run on primary internet and automatically fail over to cellular if there’s ever an outage—keeping it connected to our monitoring station at all times.

We’ve also got a dedicated network switch to keep everything clean and organized, but the real centerpiece is the CHeKT hub.

The CHeKT hub is what turns a standard camera system into a true monitored security solution. It allows live agents to verify events in real-time, speak through cameras, trigger alarms, and respond instantly to threats. Instead of just recording footage after something happens, this system actively helps prevent incidents before they escalate.

This is the difference between basic surveillance and real security.

Back out at this shopping center getting them connected 🌐

We installed security cameras here a few months back, and now it was time to solve the internet side of things. Let’s just say… Center, Texas isn’t exactly winning any awards for cell service 😅

Instead of dealing with the delays and hassle of getting traditional internet installed, we went with Starlink. Faster to deploy, reliable, and a perfect fit for locations like this.

Now the cameras—and the whole system—have the solid connection they need to run smoothly.

Sometimes the best solution isn’t the most traditional one—it’s the one that works best for the situation.

Got a call from a customer who lost connection to one of their buildings—never a good situation when operations depend on that link. After testing the fiber line, I was able to quickly pinpoint the issue and get everything back up and running.

This is where having the right tools and experience makes all the difference. Fiber problems aren’t always visible, but with proper testing and diagnostics, they can be found and fixed the right way.

If your network goes down, you want someone who can actually diagnose the problem—not just guess.
