What a fantastic way to show our love and support to the many lives breast cancer has affected. S**G is a fantastic company! They donating $500 from our sale to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and Susan G Komen Foundation! What a great way to support two great foundations! July is a great time to plant basil, oregano, rosemary, cilantro, dill, sage and thyme. Don't forget container gardens require extra water in the heat of the summer! Most herbs require a minimum of six hours of sun per day and well drained soil. Organic fertilizers are ideal in any garden. Beds with composted soil do not require much fertilization but containers gardens do. A great way to encourage basil and oregano plants to grow best in the summer is cut back flowers to encourage full bushy plants. Enjoy the flavors of the season!
